Kevin Marshall White  Abstract Expressionism

Born in 1966 Toronto Canada. Based in Toronto When I paint I am digging, digging for treasure. When I paint i am fishing, fishing for treasure. I want the canvas to speak to me. I want the canvas to come to life. It is a freedom of expression that allows me to work through space, light and colour on a flat surface, to share my thoughts and emotions dancing on the tip of my paint brush. Through curiosity, contemplation and spontaneity I am led on a journey and it is that journey that becomes the painting.

In my process of creating abstract expressionism I use  pastels, crayons, acrylics, inks, oils, chalk and charcoal on  canvas. I have created a method that I have been practicing through out my life. My process is meditative and spontaneous with layers, adding and subtracting. Through this journey truth and realities are revealed

Kevin Marshall White's abstract paintings captivate with a  shimmering depth that pulls viewers into a realm of spiritual and artistic exploration. White blends bold, gestural strokes with sculptural textures, evoking both chaos and harmony. Each piece feels like a journey into the subconscious, alive with shapes, colour and hints of metallics that vibrate on the canvas. His process is one of discovery allowing form and energy to evolve organically resulting in works that are both deliberate and  intuitive that invites the audience.
